Facilities
Our facilities are clean and bright. The classrooms are artfully arranged with various interest centers such as dramatic play, reading libraries, writing tables, science centers, and block play. Our art rooms include free access to painting and fun, messy sensory activities as well as teacher designed art and craft projects. Student's projects are proudly displayed for all to admire throughout the room so your child can take pride in their work when they are done.
Toys and curriculum materials are provided in a well organized and uncluttered manner by professional teachers with experience in designing learning centers. Classrooms and materials are rotated on a continuous basis to keep the room fresh and interesting. Themes are introduced each week through circle activities, related books, art projects, songs and play materials. Parents receive a weekly schedule that outlines the week's themes and related activities so you can see what we will be discussing. Our parent blog allows you to tap into classroom photos with descriptions of the activities so you can see what you're child's class has been up to first hand.
Our playgrounds are large and full of great outdoor activities that target large muscle use. Play structures, bikes, sand pits, art areas, sensory stations and lots of interesting outdoor play materials give children plenty of healthy activity and opportunities to interact with their friends rain or shine. Children have an opportunity to plant flowers in our children's garden and watch them grow every spring.
We conduct student evaluations twice a year to make sure that children are developing within developmental guidelines. Our evaluations include cognitive, social, fine motor and large motor skills. For our prekindergarteners and kindergarteners, we provide individual screenings one-on-one with their teacher that also includes such things as catergorizing, sequencing, letter and number recognition, and problem solving.
Our facilities and materials are regularly cleaned and sterilized for your child's health and safety. Children's hands are sanatized as they enter and they wash their hands several times a day for snack and following diapering or potty use. Does your child have allergies? We are very careful to maintain a safe environment for children with special health issues and will work with you as much as possible to make sure your child is able to enjoy attending safely. Our teachers have criminal background checks and are trained in pediatric first aid every two years.
We are dedicated to providing a safe, clean and enjoyable school for you and your child.
